Our First "SOFT" Wedding

On a beautiful sunny day, just outside of Atlanta, GA, Katti and Hanson Wong tied the 'ultimate' knot!! A wonderful couple who not only knows how to have a good time, but who have also found a way to have a fabulous wedding supporting small business owners without breaking the bank! With cost friendly choices such as flowers supplied by local farmers, and customizing her gown with vintage embellishments from her mother's veil, Katti and Hanson were the perfect choice for our first soft wedding!

The beautiful bride chose The Soft Movement for her bridal party couture and we couldn't be happier with the results! The dresses came out wonderfully chic in custom colors chosen by the bride, and each dress was tailored to each bridesmaids desires. In the end, the beaming bride was (and still is) beautiful, and there couldn't be a more luckier groom! Thank you Katti and Hanson, for having the first soft wedding, and we wish you both the best of luck in life, love and happiness! There couldn't have been a better first!!

SOFT dresses for SOFT weddings!!

Recent Soft Movement fan, Katti and her bridesmaids took a lil trip to NYC this weekend!! There was plenty of celebrations for her last days of singlehood, but there was just enough time to try on their bridesmaids dresses from The SOFT Movement!!! We met up to do a fitting for each of them in their dresses, and when you mix 7 girls with a lil' wine, soft clothes, and fun designs you have a great way to spend an early rainy afternoon!!

Not only do they look soft and serene in the fabrics and colors, they definitely rocked the designs too!! we can't wait to see the final products on them!! thanks ladies for a wonderful weekend, and check out Katti's shout out to us on their wedding site!!!!

A Soft Movement Grows in Brooklyn

Brooklynites can start experiencing the softer side of life when The Soft Movement officially moves into the borough. Beginning February 1, The Soft Movement clothing line will be sold at Better Than Jam Handmade Co-Op, opening at The Loom, Bushwick’s new four-story industrial loft space at 1087 Flushing Avenue.

“Brooklyn has such a growing independent fashion scene,” said Lucille Lam, founder of The Soft Movement. “There’s no better place than an up-and-coming neighborhood like Bushwick for us to showcase our line and build our social movement.”

Known for its ultra soft clothes, The Soft Movement will present designs from their “Light” and “Vertigo” lines. During opening week, The Soft Movement-branded tees, totes and custom-handmade dresses will be up for grabs.

“It’s so important for us to make clothes that make you feel good inside and out,” said Soft Movement designer and co-founder, Vivian Kong. “It’s an honor to be part of Better Than Jam’s opening, and to be part of such a creative group of designers.”

Aiming to create a platform for soft expression across the world, The Soft Movement is proud to be partnered with Better Than Jam to spread the soft message around Brooklyn.

Created by Karin Persan, Better Than Jam will open its doors and promote 12 other local clothing and accessory designers who create original, high quality products at a fair price.

“This match-up made sense right away,” said Lucille. “We've been searching for a unique venue and like-minded designers to work with. Karin's handmade Co-Op was a perfect fit!"
